Monday 8th June Day 21

Yes Connemara was the destination and it is going to make for a short blog as not much happened apart from driving there, but first Barb wants to go and have a look at the shops, I go along for the ride with an agreement that when got fed up I would go back to Glo and get her ready to move on, Barb is made up with this as she prefers to go shopping without me unless it’s shopping for certain items. The shopping experience lasts until after lunch time, I had returned to Glo and when Barb arrived and we headed off to Connemara, the journey takes us through the Connemara national park and past a number of loughs and rivers and a couple of villages that we had a drive around but didn’t stop as there are only so many villages you can visit. Our stop over was the harbour wall adjacent to a fish smoke house which we went to have a look at, obviously the produce was available for sale but as Barb doesn’t like smoked salmon it’s a bit of a pointless task, I did contemplate purchasing some smoked mackerel but at €16 for two fillets I decided that the aroma would not be too good in Glo. That’s about it really as we parked on the harbour wall watching and listening to the Ocean do its stuff along with the gust of wind rocking Glo around, getting used that now, let’s see what happens tomorrow.
