Monday 22nd June Day 35

This will not take you long as I think that have said in a previous blog that it was going to be the shortest one of the trip, well is was wrong as we stayed put from last night had a late brunch, sat around and didn’t do much else and that was it, there you go job done. If you think you are getting away with just that you are sadly mistaken as I still had some fill in bits left over, a couple of travel tips first, fuel prices we have seen prices vary a lot during the trip, in Ireland it has varied between €169.9 to €203.9 for diesel I would suggest that if you see it for €173.9 get it as that seems to be the most common best price and don’t forget the Circle K discount, oh and don’t buy Adblue pig wee from a fuel station as it’s daylight robbery as we found out but it’s still about €15 from supermarkets. Next is a point of interest that I missed out in a previous blog when we were in Westport Co Mayo, there is an uninhabited island in Clew bay called Dorinish which is about 2 to 3 kilometres from the mainland, what’s special about that you may ask, well let me tell you, it is also known as John Lennon or Beatle island as John bought it in 1967 for £1700 intending to build a retreat for his later years. Sadly John never reached his later years and following his tragic death in 1980 Yoko sold the island in 1984 with the proceeds of the sale going to an Irish orphanage. I obviously haven’t kept enough fill in stuff as that’s it I have run out of stuff
Stopover Same as last night
