Tuesday 9th June Day 22

We had a couple of wow moments last, like wow how hard can the wind blow, wow how hard can it rain, wow how loud can the thunder be and then the big WOW how hard can this hailstorm be, all of that made for an interesting nights sleep parked up on a Harbour wall, remind me it is June isn’t it. This is going to be another short day, well the day is still going to be 24 hours but the post is only going to be a short one as after one stop on route, we are going to stop at a campsite for a couple of days. There was actually two stops the first one was to go shopping as we needed milk and you don’t want to run out of that stuff around here unless you black tea or coffee, the actual real stop was Kylemore castle so that Barb could have a look around, me being a philistine worked out that if you’re seen one castle you know how it goes, and I have already seen one well possibly more than one so I saved the €18 entrance fee. Anyway I needed to have a conversation which was a long one with the website company who our website is with, as I am getting proper cheesed off with them adding adverts to the blogs and I did think that I was going to change website providers which was going to be a bit of a pain as our current contract runs out on the 29th June and we would have to change providers while we are away and get web domain name transferred to the new provider which if at home wouldn’t be too much of an issue as I would have a good internet connection and would be able to sit down at a desk and organise it and also figure out how their new system works. The conversation doesn’t go as bad as I thought as they found a way of getting rid of the adverts, it will also make the blog posts more like blog posts and lastly it will stop the addition of there name after our web domain, all at a sensible price rather than the stupid price they were originally asking for. It’s not going to be plain sailing as I do have to rebuild parts of it, so there might be a slight learning curve in the next couple of days and a couple of test blogs going on. Moving the clock forward a bit, Barb has finished her tour and meets me in the cafe as I had escaped there for a coffee after the long phone call, we head back to Glo and tell Syd to take us to our chosen campsite which was only 30 minutes away, we have booked and paid for the pitch online, wasn’t get caught in that it’s cheaper online lark, so when we arrived it was just a case of getting a pitch number and then parking up. We have a pitch which in the lower section of the site and was partially protected from the wind coming of the Ocean. We walked up to the top of the pitch and yep it was blowing a Hoolie granted not a proper one but still a Hoolie, there was a van up there with a pop top, not too sure how clever that is, but I certainly wouldn’t be leaving it up, after we walked up to the top of the hill we then walked down one to get to the beach, didn’t the grand old Duke of York do that up and down lark, I do sometimes wonder how or if my brain works. After a short walk along the beach with no paddling involved we headed back to Glo and that was about it for the day, as we are staying here tomorrow night I will have tomorrow to sort the website out, let’s make that hopefully we will all find out tomorrow.
